more than enough

by Keiko Shibata, Contributing Editor

clouds burdened with pregnancy

falling tears cry relief

water drips from Cryptomeria

feet walking bare in the garden

mud embraces the soul

wetness clings to skin

shower brings fresh belief

kimono covers nakedness

pillows gathered on tatami

saki warms the air

my door is unlocked

aroma enters from the street

driftings across the flowers

no returning to yesterday

pungent fragrances of the day

more than enough.
