Rhythms by Sue De Gregorio-Rosen, RN, CLNC, Contributing Editor
a steady rain
aqueous, unfiltered, adaptable
the essence is the wetness of my soul
and its sound an invitation to heal
I sit in the darkness and wait
and feel where the rain falls,
slowly, stronger
and magical
the rain beckons me
to take a breath
disguises itself
as a Summer’s breeze
listening I hear the whisper
of the trees
have you ever danced
in the forest alone
when you arrived here
I felt you weave the enigma
a quivering, undeniable charm,
impassioned with a soothing vision
did you dance in the rain
like a warrior
fierce as a stoning gale
a storm without measure
my heart beats are resolute
I am not frightened
boundaries are futile and in vain
my love is guileless and calm
.
