Mountains beckon my soul,
The slopes of the hills curling me up
in a valley of safety,
Rivers and creeks nourish the greenery,
to provide the air that I breathe,
So, each time I inhale –
it’s a breath of new life.
Sustained by the earth that I lie on to rest.
Some animals become friends,
Some foes,
they all keep loneliness at bay.
